Berkowitz Pollack Brant Announces Firm Member Promotions

MIAMI, July 15, 2024 – Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs today announced the promotion of 39 firm members, including four new associate directors. The promoted individuals work in departments across the fine, including tax, assurance, forensics, IT, marketing and finance.
Tal Aviv, CPA, was newly promoted to associate director of Tax Services, where he provides tax compliance and consulting services to closely held businesses and publicly traded entities with domestic and international operations. Aviv serves high-net-worth families and clients in the aviation and cargo transport, food and beverage, intellectual property, and manufacturing and distribution industries, to name a few.
Lian Brandt, CPA, moves up to associate director of Assurance and Advisory Services. With more than 15 years of industry experience, she focuses on agreed-upon procedures, employee benefits plan audits, financial statement preparations and SEC and PCAOB audits. Brandt serves clients from various sectors, including bio-pharmaceutical, distribution, financial services, manufacturing, start-ups and waste management.
Jason Morley, CPA/PFS, CFP, was promoted to to associate director of Family Office Services. For more than two decades, Morley has worked with high-net-worth individuals and families, serving as the daily counsel and advisor. Some of his areas of expertise include financial and estate planning, trust, gift, and family partnership planning, residential and commercial real estate development and, yacht and aircraft management.
Tomoko Shoji, CPA/PFS, CFP, advances to associate director of Tax Services. With more than 15 years of experience, Shoji focuses on income, gift and estate tax planning, consulting and compliance services for high-net-worth families and closely held businesses in the U.S. and abroad. She’s an expert on complex tax issues concerning foreign and domestic trust compliance and planning, FIRPTA planning and foreign investment in U.S. real estate and IC-DISC compliance and planning.
