Berkowitz Pollack Brant Promotes 8 to Associate Director

July 15, 2022 – Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs today announced the promotion of eight professionals to associate directors within the firm’s Tax Services and Assurance and Advisory Services practices.

Adam Fisher, CPA, was promoted from senior manager to associate director in the Tax Services group, where he provides tax and consulting services to real estate companies, private equity funds, closely held businesses and high-net-worth families. He holds a master’s degree in Taxation from Florida Atlantic University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.
Mikel Gastaminsa, CPA, moved up to associate director in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services practice, where he provides audit, accounting and business-consulting services to both public and privately held companies in industries that include real estate development and professional services. He holds a master’s degree in Taxation and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami.
Yasmany Gonzalez, CPA, advanced to associate director in the Assurance and Advisory Services group, where he provides audit and assurance services to clients in the aviation, construction and distribution industries. He earned a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida International University.
Joshua Hallett was promoted to associate director in the Assurance and Advisory Services practice, where he brings a broad range of SEC experience to help public and privately held businesses manage compliance requirements, implement internal controls and improve processes. He earned a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Idaho.
Kevin McNally, JD, advanced to associate director in the Tax Services group, where he works with real estate development companies and private equity firms to structure complex deals for maximum tax efficiency. A member of Florida, Minnesota, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, he earned a juris doctorate and diploma of civil law from Louisiana State University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Tampa and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Florida International University.
James “Tony” Salazar, CPA, was promoted to associate director of Tax Services, where he helps individuals, corporations and partnerships plan for and comply with federal and state income tax regulations, including representation before the IRS and state taxing jurisdictions. He also focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and structuring closely held business and family structures. Salazar hold a master’s degree in Accounting from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada.
Savannah Snow, CPA, was elevated to associate director in the Tax Services group, where she provides tax consulting and compliance services to high-net-worth families, businesses and their subsidiaries located throughout the world. A graduate of Leadership Broward and a member of the Florida Institute of CPA’s Women’s Leadership Committee, Snow earned a master’s degree in Taxation and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Michael Vegueria, CPA, advanced to associate director in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Service practice, where he provides audit, accounting and business consulting services to closely held businesses in the real estate, hospitality, manufacturing and distribution sectors. He holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
