Richard Berkowitz Appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Miami Foundation

MIAMI, Jan. 24, 2020 – The Miami Foundation announced that Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs Founding and Executive Chairman Richard A. Berkowitz, JD, CPA, has been named chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.  The Miami Foundation has made more than $350 million in grants and scholarships and is steward to more than $365 million in charitable assets. It represents more than 1,000 fundholders.

Berkowitz has served in a wide range of leadership positions with community institutions in Florida. He served as chairman of the Community Foundation of Broward, chairman of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge and chair of Take Stock in Children’s state board and is a past president of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

A community builder and business leader, Berkowitz has spent more than 40 years building Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs into one of the largest accounting and business advisory firms in the country. He is a founder and serves as chairman of the board of Provenance Wealth Advisors, an estate planning and financial advisory firm with more than $2.8 billion in assets under advisement.
