Richard Berkowitz Inducted into Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, April 24, 2018 – Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors and Accountants’ Founding and Executive Chairman Richard A. Berkowitz, JD, CPA, has been inducted into the Junior Achievement of South Florida’s Business Hall of Fame.

Berkowitz is a long-time business leader and professional. The advisory and accounting firm he founded in 1980 is an Accounting Today and Inside Public Accounting Top 100 firm and one of the largest in Florida. Fellow 2018 Hall of Fame inductees are Jim Ellis of Ellis Diversified, Kim and Randy Sweers of FB Marine Group and Vincent Viola of Virtu Financial and the Florida Panthers. Dr. Patrick Taylor received the elissa Aiello Character Award and long-time Junior Achievement supporters Terry Stiles and Wayne Huizinga were honored at the 30th anniversary event.

A devoted community leader, Berkowitz currently serves on the board and as treasurer of The Miami Foundation, chair of the technology committee and on the executive committee of the Broward Workshop. He is a past chairman of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, the Community Foundation of Broward and Take Stock in Children’s state board. Berkowitz has been honored for his community service by Leadership Broward, the University of Miami and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
